Industry Placement Year
At the University of Huddersfield, my degree (BA(Hons) Fashion Design with Marketing) is available as a sandwich degree. Choosing the option of a sandwich degree means that in my third year, I took a year out from university to go and work in Industry to complete "placements". These placements developed my knowledge and skills, allowing to gain experience and provide me with the opportunity to learn how different businesses are run and what is involved when working in the fashion industry.
For the 2021/22 academic year, I have successfully secured four placements;

Atelier Rahman is a Bespoke Tailor based in Farsley, Leeds; providing a service to the wedding community.

Whitby Yard
Whitby Yard is a costal clothing company based in Whitby, North Yorkshire. The brand sells a multitude of garments ranging from children's t-shirt to dry robes.
